Pictures from the Museum of Modern Art

My roommate and I had President's Day off so we went to MoMA for the day. Some of the exhibits there were way too modern for me and I wouldn't necessarily consider them art but there were a lot of great exhibits there that I did enjoy. I got to see Van Gogh's Starry Night, some Monet paintings, some Picasso, and some Diego Rivera stuff that I really enjoyed. Enjoy the pictures below!!

American Museum of Natural History and Rotation Update

So, I'm now in my third week of my family medicine rotation and I am enjoying it so far. Definitely not a field I want to go into but at least I am getting to see patients and learn and do hands on things. Right now I am working at outpatient clinics. Everyday I go in, see a patient by myself or with a partner, present to the resident and then go see the patient again with the resident. We discuss the case and treatments, follow-ups, etc, then the resident presents to the attending who is there to make sure the residents are staying on tract and are treating for the correct things. It is nice getting to see the patient first without a resident as it allows us to figure out how to interact with the patients and figure out what questions we need to ask and what exams we need to do on them before talking it over with the resident.

This past weekend, my roommate and I went to the American Museum of Natural History-the one from the movie Night at the Museum. They had all sorts of neat exhibits and then we also ended up getting tickets to a special exhibition about space exploration starting with Sputnik and the first people in space to what the future may hold with space travel and occupying other planets. After the museum, we went down to Herald Square and walked around a bit...saw the Empire State Building lit up and then it started snowing a little...it was a perfect winter evening in NYC!! Enjoy the pictures below of the museum and wandering around afterwards...
