4 down, 2 to go!

So, since I last posted, I have finished my IM rotation and also finished psych. I have 2 cores left to do...peds and surgery, then a bunch of electives that will hopefully be interesting! Psych was ok, definitely better than I was thinking it would be. I enjoyed the rotation but know that I would not want to do that for the rest of my life. Right now, I'm off for a month and then head to Atlanta for two months for my peds rotation!
Lately, my friends and I have been going out to different places for brunch on the weekends and boy have there been some delicious meals!! I also recently went out to a speakeasy in Manhattan with one of my friends. To get to it, you had to go through a hot dog store and then through a fake phone booth. The drink menu was filled with all sorts of weird concoctions but they were good!

I also went to see Cirque de Soleil's "Zarkana" at Radio City Music Hall with friends from work. It was AMAZING!! It is crazy some of the things those people can do!

Last week, my roommate and a friend of ours went out for a night in Brooklyn. We had pizza at Grimaldi's, got ice cream at Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, ate our ice cream at the promenade overlooking all the bridges and Manhattan, and then walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. We had a great time and the pizza and ice cream were amazing!! The pizza was nice a crispy and the toppings were perfect and the ice cream was rich and creamy...I had butter pecan, my friend had vanilla, and my roommate had vanilla with caramel sauce that tasted just like a Werther's piece of candy!

Then last weekend, I went to go visit a friend who is currently living near Boston. We had a great time wandering around Boston, had some delicious lobster at Legal Seafood, and got some cupcakes at Georgetown cupcakes. The cupcakes from Georgetown were really good...super moist and an almost perfect cake to frosting ratio...I definitely recommend trying them if you are ever somewhere they have one of their shops.

This past weekend, I enjoyed a beautiful Saturday in Central Park. The weather was perfect and I just sat down near the lake for a few hours. During this time, I saw 8 wedding parties taking pictures and then saw a proposal! I then wandered down to Rockefeller Center and then to Times Square.
